A Night at the Horse Track

I apologize for the breaks between posts. I have been having some health issues and just have not had the energy to post anything lately. I will try my best through all of this to post on a regular basis again.

To start things off I have not been feeling well for the last two weeks. There have just been some issues and I have not been able to figure them out. With that being said I have not really gotten out much lately because I have not had the energy to do anything. So, when my husband said that we were going to go to the casino and race track I was more than ready to get out of the house and out of my lazy clothes (while I was sick I still got cabin fever). After getting over the excitement of going to the casino and horse race track I began to think about what I could wear. I wanted to dress cute because well let's be honest I had been wearing running shorts, a t-shirt, and most of the time my hair was up. Like I do with any occasion that I want to look cute for I went through my closet mentally, but just couldn't think of what I really wanted to wear. The only thing I could think of was my new black and tan romper that I had worn to my sister's birthday. I kept telling myself that there had to be something else because I wanted to mix it up. I didn't want to wear something that I had just worn a few weeks ago even if it was new. So, I finally got up the energy to go look through my closet at which point I found a top that I had not worn in a long time. It was a teal button up top with a black collar. I still loved the top, but just had not thought about wearing it in a while. Once I had the top picked out I thought about what bottoms I was going to wear. I thought about wearing jeans because if we were going to be inside I knew it would be cold, but then I thought about being outside while watching the horse races. I finally decided on a pair of dressy black shorts from loft. I have always loved these shorts because they are comfortable, but at the same time they are dressy and can go with many different outfits because they are black. I finally topped off the outfit with my Steve Madden gladiator sandals.
