Birthday Celebration

I absolutely love birthdays, whether it is mine, one of my family members, or one of my friends. I don't know what it is about birthdays, but I just love them so much. One of the things that we do when someone in my family has a birthday is we all go out to dinner together to celebrate. I love this, one because I love to spend time with my family and two because I get to dress up in some of my favorite outfits. Well, it was no different when my sister's birthday came around. We decided to go to P.F. Changs (a family favorite). When I found out where we were going I had to decide what I was going to wear. I went through my closet like I always do and nothing in my closet stood out to me. I was having one of those, I have so many clothes, but nothing to wear moments. So, as the day got closer I continued to search my closet, but came up with nothing!

It was a good thing that I waited until the day of to get my sister something for her birthday because that is when I found the perfect outfit! I went to Loft that day to pick out something for my sister and ended up finding a black and tan romper for myself. As soon as I saw it I fell in love. The romper has a black long sleeve top with buttons halfway down, the bottom of the romper is tan with black stripes. I knew that if I styled it just right it would be perfect for the birthday dinner.

I didn't add much to the romper because I thought that it was already pretty cute. The first thing I added was a dark red necklace. Now if I could have I would have paired it with a tiffany blue necklace, but the one I had was just too much and you could no see it all. So, I went with the red statement necklace. I then picked out shoes. I debated on wearing my black TOMS wedges, but in the end I knew that I was going to be walking a lot so I picked my black flower sandals for comfort. If I was just wearing this to dinner and that was it I would have worn my black TOMS wedges. I absolutely loved this outfit. It was so simple to put together. If you have never worn a romper be aware that if you have to go to the bathroom it is pain to deal with.

What are some of your favorite things to wear to birthday dinners?
