Leopard in the Work Place

Towards the end of the winter season I really struggled to find the motivation to dress fashionable at work, I was over the cold weather and over all my clothes. My mom and I went shopping a couple of weekend ago to look for some things for California. While we were out we stopped at some of my favorite stores (Dottie, Francesca's, and others). Now if you have ever gone shopping with me you will understand that I am very focused when I shop and sometimes people get frustrated because well I can be picking when trying to find clothes. My thought process when I shop is how many things do I have to go with this and will I actually wear it. If I cannot answer all of those questions right then I don't get the item especially if I am not in love with it (I am in love with it if I can't stop thinking about it).

This shopping trip my mom got lucky and I actually found a lot of things that I wanted. One of those items was a flowy leopard print top.  When I first saw it on the hanger I was not sold, but I thought I would try it on anyways and I fell in love with it. The best part was that it was on sale! What could be better!? So, I ended up getting the top. At that point in time I only had one idea on how to wear this outfit (not the best when it comes to my test). When I got it home I started to think about all the ways that I could wear it and one of those ways was I could wear it to work (if I can wear it to work then it is a pretty big deal). Of course, that next Monday I wore it to work and absolutely loved the outfit that I had put together.

I paired the top with my black dress pants which some may disagree with since the leopard print was a navy color, but I thought hey I like it so who really cares. I then put a tan belt with it. This is one of my favorite things to do right now is to put a tan belt with a flowly top and my dress pants. I don't know what it is about it but I just love how it looks. I then paired it with my favorite necklace right now, which is a gold simple necklace with three arrows on it (it is from the Lauren Conrad collection). I finished off the outfit with my new pair of black flats that I have been wearing a lot lately.

There are many other ways that I have worn this top. One of those ways are with leggings and the new pair of short boots that I got. You can add a black leather coat if you were going out.

This is what I have learned from this top and outfit. If you love an item more than likely you are going to find a lot of ways to wear it and you can also have a little fun when you are picking outfits for work. Before I have tried to be very good about keeping it very simple, but it is okay to wear things that may not alway be very simple.

What are some of your favorite things to wear right now?
